Italia Maranello Roadster XR Special Edition
Maranello series is made up of two segments, electric guitar, and electric bass divisions. Both feature uniquely shaped instruments inspired by 1950s and 60s racing and sports cars. The guitar side of the series even features models named Roadster and Speedster. Maranello Roadster XR is one of six Special Edition Italia models. It is a modern six-string axe, based on the vintage appearance of the regular Maranello Speedster. XR starts with a solid body w/urethane top, glued-in neck, hybrid electronics, and Wilkinson hardware. Main construction features include a modern Maranello body (korina base, urethane cap), maple neck (fast profile, set-in construction), and rosewood fingerboard (22 frets, custom-designed inlays). Other notable appointments include a string-through TOM bridge, Wilkinson tuning machines and active humbucking pickups (w/basic controls).
The Roadster XR elegantly combines a retro chic with a futuristic edge. Boasting a korina body, topped with synthetic urethane and set maple neck, two specially designed Italia active double coil pickups provide incredible sustain with superb response and tone via its traditional 3-way switch and single volume/tone controls.
